Living in New Hampshire, it can be hard to get your hands on quality fresh fruit year round. Which can be tough for a family full of smoothie fans. To my kids smoothies are like getting a milk shake, and is something they look forward to each morning. Because in their minds... ice cream for breakfast, even though they are almost always dairy free, and contain no processed sugar. So when I start their day off with a smoothie chuckerblock full of vitamins and nutrients, and they leave for school satisfied and happy, I know I have started their day off on the right foot.
Wyman's frozen berries has been a lifesaver for this busy mom. I buy the large bags of frozen blueberries and raspberries several times a month to have on hand for smoothies, muffins, pancakes, or to just snack on. All three of my kids have an obsession with frozen fruit. I can not count how many times, I have gone out in public with them, and their hands or faces are dark purple from stuffing themselves with frozen blueberries. It has become an issue with my youngest, I am constantly getting after her, and making sure she uses a spoon for her berries, rather than her fingers!
Not only does Wyman's provide quality freshly frozen berries that I can serve to my kids without worry, they are a local New England company that I love to support. All their berries are grown right next door in Maine, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. They have been a premier berry supplier since 1874, and sustainably farm over 11,000 acres! All their berries go through the same process and are frozen 24 hours from when they are picked. This ensures a superior berry with a fresher taste and texture. This is why they are the ONLY frozen fruit we keep our freezer stocked with.
Wyman's has launched a fun giveaway on their Instagram page. Each time someone uses the hashtag #SpringIntoSmoothies, they are entered into the sweepstakes to win a blender valued at $500, AND a one year supply of Wyman's frozen fruit. You can enter once per week between now and April 11th.

Though my kids may love to slurp down a smoothie with a straw, I on the other hand have this mental issue with drinking my breakfasts. I know it is absolutely absurd, but I eat my smoothies with a spoon instead. This way I can top them with nuts, granola, coconut, or anything else I can chew and crunch on. Smoothie bowls have been my go to for a quick breakfast, sweet snack, or even lunch.
Honey Blueberry Smoothie Bowl
1 cup frozen Wyman's blueberries
1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
Up to 1 cup of vanilla almond milk ( I use unsweetened because I like my smoothie bowl tart, but you can use sweetened almond milk for a sweeter end result!)
1-2 tbs honey
The juice of one lime
Toasted Coconut for topping
Chopped almonds for topping
Additional blueberries for topping
Add blueberries, strawberries, banana and 1/4 cup of almond milk in your blender. Blend until smooth, adding additional almond milk to get the desired consistency.
Pour smoothie into bowls, top with toasted coconut, almonds, additional blueberries. Drizzle with honey and squeeze the lime over the top.
