Nutella Swirled Kahlua Cheesecake Cookie Bars

Cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, Kahlua, and Nutella. What more could you possibly ask for in a treat? If you have an answer to that question. Just stop.

Stop, right, now.

Do not mess with perfection ok? When I sent these into my husband's work they gobbled them up before their morning sales meeting. If that is not a sign that something tastes great, I am not sure what is.
Nutella Swirled Kahlua Cheesecake Cookie Bars

Ingredients:
  • 1 package of packaged chocolate chip cookie dough ( I use pillsbury, it comes in a tube shape)
  • 2 packages of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 oz Kahlua (a shot)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Press cookie dough into the bottom of a 9x13 inch lined cake pan. It might seem like there is not enough dough to cover, but trust me. Stretch it, press it, make it as thin as possible and it will cover perfectly.
  3. Place pan in the oven for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, in a mixer cream the cheese with sugar, Kahlua, eggs and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour onto the par baked cookie bars.
  6. Place Nutella in the microwave for about 20 seconds, or until it has melted and can be easily drizzled.
  7. Drizzle Nutella over the top of the cheesecake layer, use the tip of a butter knife to swirl it into the cheesecake batter.
  8. Return to oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheesecake has set and is no longer jiggly.
  9. Allow to cool to room temperature, and then place in the refrigerator for at least  2 hours before slicing.

  1. I think Blogger ate my first comment so I'll try again. These look seriously fantastic. I would never have thought to combine Kahlua and Nutella but the flavors make so much sense together! Great photos as well :)

    1. Honestly, it was because I had exactly one shot left... and figured, why not? It worked great in place of vanilla extract. Plus coffee... hazelnut.

    1. Thanks Libby, 9x13 pans usually yield about 12 bars/brownies depending on how large you choose to slice them.
