Football season is one of my favorites. But not for football... I like to snack! I am not a huge sports fan, and thank goodness my husband isn't either. Though we both love to indulge on tailgate party foods.
With the New Year many of us are making a conscious choice to eat lighter, and healthier. Lets make those calories count. Now instead of diving into a bowl of chips and a container of a sour cream based dip. How about stacking on a lighter healthier dip made with Greek yogurt? Instead of chips, lets do some veggies and whole wheat crackers. This dip is so good, I promise you won't miss the calorie and fat laden chips.
Dilly Cucumber Dip
Ingredients:
2 cups of plain Greek yogurt
2 tbs of fresh dill weed
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup peeled diced cucumber
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
In the bowl of your food processor add all of your ingredients. Pulse until smooth.
Pour into serving bowl and dip your favorite veggies and crackers.
