Spinach, Strawberry, Bacon, Goat Cheese, Honey, Balsamic Pizza!!

This is probably one of the most genius things I've ever come up with. It's lunch or dinner and dessert all in one bite.

One of my favorite salad combos is spinach/strawberry/goat cheese in some sort of vinaigrette dressing.

Why not put that salad on pizza dough... add some bacon and call it lunch?

Seriously it is THAT good!! I hate half a pizza all by my self... I just could not help myself!

1 uncooked pizza dough
2 handfuls of  spinach
4-5 strawberries
3 slices of cooked bacon crumbled
1/2 cup goat cheese crumbles
balsamic vinegar

Preheat oven to 420.

Stretch or roll our dough on a pizza stone or on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Spread spinach over dough. Slice strawberries and layer them on top of spinach.

Sprinkle goat cheese and bacon over the top.

Drizzle of vinegar and honey over the top.

Bake for about 15 minutes until crust is golden and cooked through.

Drizzle additional honey and balsamic (optional)

  1. I'm seriously drooling over this. Thanks to The Online Pastry Chef for sharing your fabulous blog post. And thank YOU for sharing this fabulous combo. I'll have to find a veggie substitute for the bacon. I wonder if fakin bacon would do? Not as good I'm sure, but maybe it would suffice.

  2. Love love love eating strawberries and balsamic vinegar and even in combination. However, using them as ingredients of a pizza is totally to me. This is very interesting! And a must-try too!

  3. Looks and sounds positively amazing!!!

  4. Just the most fabulous pizza ever! No big deal :) and roasted strawberries? *swoon*

  5. Nicely done, Carrie!! This looks delicious and I love the combination of flavors!

  6. Love the flavor combo, and your photo makes me want to jump through the screen! Just pinned this :)

  7. Sounds lovely, the flavor combination is probably pretty fantastic together! Hugs, Terra
