Lazy Day Biscoff Double Chocolate Cake

I made this cake over the weekend on a rainy day when I did not really feel like baking but wanted something baked.

It's kinda tough when you have a hankering for something but are too lazy to make it.

Yeah that happens to me allot.

I especially hate it when you crave a chocolate chip cookie or a hot brownie at like 9pm.  I do that allot. I go to bed dreaming of chocolate. Wake up the next morning and bake my little heart out.

But yeah, this cake was a quick whip me up recipe that actually turned out fantastic. I will for sure do it again... though next time... I will add extra Biscoff.

This girl loves her Biscoff spread.

Lazy Day Biscoff Double Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup coco powder
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup oil
1 egg
1 tbs of vanilla extract
1/2 cup biscoff creamy spread

Directions:

(This is the lazy day cake part) In a large bowl, mix all of your ingredients except your biscoff spread together.

Pour mixed batter into a greased 8 inch cake pan.

Pipe or dollop Biscoff onto the top of the cake.

Bake at 350 for, 35-40 minutes. Or until tooth pick is inserted and comes out clean.

  1. Girl, you have some company. I'm in love with the stuff too. I've never even baked with it - I always end up finishing off the jar with a spoon. :)

  7. I know this may be shocking and somewhat sad, but I've never heard of Biscoff until I came upon this wonderful recipe. I'm officially on the hunt for this wonder food and will report back once I've given it (and this yummy cake) a try!
