Brown Butter Toffee Pecan Blondies



Don't you just want to jump into a bowl of browned butter and drink it?

No?

Well I do!

The combo of brown butter, dark brown sugar, toffee bits and pecans is aaaawwweeeessome!!!


Brown Butter Toffee Pecan Blondies
Adapted from Martha Stewart

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups butter
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup  sugar
3 large eggs
2 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup toffee bits
Melted chocolate (optional)
Directions:

In a medium bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.

In  a small sauce pan over medium heat brown your butter. (melt and cook until it is a golden brown color and gets a nutty smell) Set aside.

In your mixer with the paddle attachment mix your sugars, eggs, and vanilla together.

Slowly pour in your browned butter.

Slowly add in your flour mixture. Mix until everything is just Incorporated.

Fold in your toffee and pecans.

Pour batter into a greased or parchment paper lined  9x13 baking dish.

Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Drizzle with melted chocolate. (optional)

  1. Hah, you know how I feel about browned butter... ;) That picture is absolutely mouth-watering. If I wasn't still coming down from a sugar high from the birthday party, I'd be baking these tonight!
