A quick yummy dessert the kids can help make.
Apple Quesadilla
Ingredients:
4 flour tortillas
1/2 an apple sliced thin
2 tbs of brown sugar
1 tbs of melted butter
2 tbs of chocolate chips
2 tbs of walnuts chopped
Directions:
Brush tortillas with melted butter. Put one tortilla butter side down in your fry pan over med heat.. Layer with apples, chocolate, and walnuts. Place 2nd tortilla on top sprinkle with 1/4 of your brown sugar.
Flip (about 1-2 minutes into cooking)
Sprinkle brown sugar on the other side.
Flip one more time and let cook for a remaining 30-60 seconds
Sugar should have candied the tortilla and apples should be tender on the inside.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.

ReplyDeletenot very easy to flip and flop.. i made a hell of a mess!! but it was SO goooood!! i made a triple decker because i didnt feel making two seperate ones.. amazingly delicious!

ReplyDeleteAwesome idea. I have used fajitas as a replacement for pie crust to cut fat. It gives a so-so result. Probably not good enough for company but helps cut the cals for the fam.
